Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza: 60,000 Children Suffering Malnourishment Amid Continuing Zionist Blockade

Medical professionals and humanitarian organizations are sounding the alarm as the diminishing food supplies in Gaza lead to an increasing number of children experiencing malnutrition.

According to Al Jazeera, Gaza’s Health Ministry has reported that 60,000 children are currently “at risk of severe health complications due to malnutrition.”

The Israeli military’s displacement orders have led to the closure of 21 nutrition centers, affecting care for approximately 350 severely malnourished children, as reported by the United Nations.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has urged for the prosecution of Israeli leaders on charges of war crimes, condemning what they describe as a genocidal campaign against Gaza characterized by the “systematic targeting of children.”

The annual observance of Palestinian Children’s Day on April 5 holds increased significance this year, as tensions escalate with reports from Hamas indicating that around 19,000 children, among them 274 newborns and 876 infants under one year of age, have been killed in Gaza since October 2023.
