Palestinian killed by Israeli fire in Gaza, seven detained in West Bank

A Palestinian died on Sunday from wounds sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in al-Masdar village in the central Gaza Strip, while Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians during raids across the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), citing medical sources, reported that the man succumbed to injuries caused by gunfire from Israeli occupation tanks during an incursion into the village several days ago.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces detained four Palestinians in Burin, south of Nablus, another in Qalandiya refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, and two others, including a woman, in Hebron.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian olive pickers in Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah, beating them and forcing them to leave their land.

Early Sunday, Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas at vehicles near the entrance to Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah. They set up a military checkpoint, stopped and searched vehicles, causing traffic congestion, before firing tear gas at them. No injuries were reported.

Israeli occupation forces have threatened to expand their military offensive in Hebron, which has remained under siege for the 10th consecutive day.

The ongoing offensive has displaced or otherwise affected more than 3,300 Palestinians in the al-Jalda and Ain Deir Baha areas. It has also led to the demolition of 15 homes and other structures, damaged the local economy and infrastructure, and disrupted education.

On Saturday, a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Several Palestinians were also injured in a strike on al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
