The Hamas Movement has congratulated prisoners Ahmed Abu Fara and Anas Shadeed on their victory in their hunger strike battle.
In a press release on Thursday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem stated that the prisoners’ victory over their jailers confirmed further that the Palestinian people have a stronger will than the occupation and are able to extract their own freedom.
Qasem reiterated his Movement’s constant position on the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, affirming that one of its strategic goals is to liberate them all.
He also called on the Palestinian people from all spectra to support the steadfastness of the prisoners and their families.
Abu Fara and Shadeed on Thursday halted their hunger strike following an Israeli pledge to release them in four months.
