Bloody Clashes Reported between US-Backed Terrorists, Civilians in Eastern Syria

A number of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in clashes with civilians in Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Tuesday.

People in the small town of al-Kashkiyeh in Southeastern Deir Ezzur engaged in heavy fighting with the SDF, leaving a SDF gunman dead and several more wounded.

Local sources said that the clashes came after the SDF attacked people’s houses in al-Kashkiyeh.

The sources further said that the SDF laid siege on al-Kashkiyeh following the clashes and forwarded more gunmen and military equipment to the region.

Local sources in Eastern Deir Ezzur reported on Saturday that the SDF detained tens of civilians during heavy attacks on the villages of al-Tiyanah, al-Shanan and al-Jarzi.

The Kurdish forces also arrested a number of civilians in the villages of Mahimideh and Haqayej al-Bomasa’h.

Meantime, reports said that they have attacked and beaten a number of civilians in the town of al-Kashisheh in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Tensions have heightened between the civilians and the SDF in Deir Ezzur, Hasaka and other regions occupied by the US-backed Kurdish forces.
