Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri said America’s repeated claim on ‘options on the table’ has worn threadbare and is being mocked by Iranians.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri, while commemorating the Fajr Decade and martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, touched upon achievements of the Revolution in defense sector saying “today, the armed forces exactly know their status, purpose and objective as well as how to strengthen their position.”

He said two effective components of Iran’s defensive authority were the confidence of Armed Forces and trust of the nation in them; “these achievements have formed an image of potent Iranian armed forces who act within framework of Islamic religious teachings.”

The commander expressed hope that the same trend will continue at a high pace until all objectives become fully accomplished.

On presence of Britain in the West Asia region, Brig. Gen. Jazayeri said “the evil dream held by Britain and other European countries will never be realized as regional people will prevent their presence by all means.”

He said the British would be better off if they returned home before confronting new problems.

The senior military official later pointed to the repeated remarks made by the new US government on availability of all options on the table explaining “the diction has become hackneyed and is being made fun of by all people including Iranians.”

“Accordingly, in view of interests of the Islamic Revolution, appropriate and effective measures have been planned in the face of the great Satan (the US),” he concluded.
