Tehran Hosts Commemoration for Gen. Soleimani and Resistance Leaders

On Thursday, an event was held to honor the martyrdom of General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their associates.

General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, two influential leaders involved in counterterrorism efforts in the region, were killed in a targeted strike by the US military on January 3, 2020, near Baghdad International Airport. The operation was carried out following direct orders from Trump.

Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, recently appointed as the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasized the ongoing development and expansion of the Axis of Resistance. Speaking at a ceremony, Vahidi highlighted Iran’s unwavering support for the Resistance, expressing confidence in its progress and commitment to backing it with full strength.

Vahidi asserted that the legacy and mission of General Soleimani “will remain unwavering.”

In a statement addressing enemy threats, it was remarked that such words originate from cowardice and fear.
