Syrian Army Soldiers Advance against Nusra Terrorists in Northwestern Damascus

Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country’s warplanes, continued to beat back Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) from more positions in Wadi al-Bardi region, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.

The army men targeted the bases and positions of the terrorists in the villages of Deir Moqren, Kafr al-Zeit, Ein al-Fijeh, Basimeh and Ein al-Khezra, killing a number of militants and destroying their command posts and strongholds.

The army soldiers inflicted 10 casualties on militants in Basimeh in Wadi al-Bardi and managed to advance against terrorists in the region, capturing Kaftaro Complex and Dar al-Aytam in this village.

Clashes are underway between the army soldiers and terrorists near the village of al-Hoseiniyh in Wadi Bardi, while the artillery units are shelling terrorists’ positions, inflicting an unspecified number of casualties on the militants.

Also the army choppers launched heavy attacks on terrorists’ positions in the villages of Ein al-Khezra in Wadi al-Bardi, while other military helicopters hit the terrorists’ gatherings in Basimeh.

The ground troops, meantime, opened fire at militants’ positions in the town of Basimeh.

In the meantime, the terrorist groups’ positions in Ein al-Fijeh region in Damascus province were bombed by the Syrian fighter jets.
