Syria army retakes Zareh town in Homs

353821_Syria-militants (1)Syrian government forces have regained the control of a town in the central province of Homs, as they continue operations to clear more areas from foreign-backed terrorists.
The army troops regained the control of al-Zareh town on Saturday, when they pushed into the town following days of fierce clashes with terrorists in the region.
Many terrorists were killed during the army operation and their weapons were destroyed.
The Syrian army has been engaged in fierce clashes with Takfiri terrorists holed up in different areas of Homs Province. The fighting has forced thousands of people to flee the region.
On Thursday, army units destroyed two cars equipped with heavy machine guns and killed a group of militants in the town of Yabroud in Damascus.
Similar operations were carried out in Rima Farms region on the outskirts of the Syrian capital.
Syrian forces also targeted militant-held areas in Khan al-Sheikh and Zakiya neighborhoods in al-Kisweh area of Damascus and eliminated many militants.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since 2011. Some sources say around 130,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by Western-backed militants.
According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies — especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey — are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
