Supreme Leader’s senior guard killed during training mission

A high ranking officer belonging to the team tasked with protecting Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has lost his life during a training mission.

According to a Sunday report by Sepah News, the official news site of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, a funeral will be held for Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Akbari in Tehran on Monday.

Martyr Akbari, a senior training officer, lost his life due to weapon malfunction during a training mission.

The funeral procession is scheduled to start from 9 am in Piroozi Street (relatively marked above) and end with a burial ceremony in Behesht-e Zahra, Iran’s largest cemetery located in southern Tehran.
