Marking the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hossein (AS), the third Imam of Shiite Islam and the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), millions of Iranian Shiite pilgrims have begun to take a long walk to the holy city of Karbala in central Iraq.
