Pakistan's prime minister has extended his congratulations to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on being elected as Iran's new Leader. He expressed confidence in Khamenei's capabilities to effectively steer the Islamic Republic towards continued advancement.

Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on assuming the role of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to a post he made on X on Tuesday.
The premier expressed profound condolences and prayers on behalf of the people of Pakistan for the loss of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and other family members.
Confidence abounds that the newly appointed Supreme Leader will steer Iran towards a path of peace, stability, and prosperity in the coming years.
Following a recent aggressive incident involving American and Israeli forces against the Islamic Republic, Iran’s influential 88-member Assembly of Experts convened to elect Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who died in the confrontation late last month.
The election has prompted a series of congratulatory messages from global leaders, including those from Russia, China, Tajikistan, and Iraq.
Resistance movements from Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen have expressed their satisfaction with the recent developments while emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity within the global Muslim community in response to adversarial actions.
Ayatollah Khamenei was reportedly martyred while present at his office in Tehran. This development occurred amid extensive campaigns by Western and Israeli media outlets, which suggested that the Leader had been attempting to remain in hiding due to the perceived threat of enemy aggression.
Observers perceive the election of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as a further demonstration of the Islamic Republic’s longstanding defiance against external attempts to influence its decisions and undermine its ongoing efforts to maintain its sovereignty.
