Israeli occupation forces shell village in northern Quneitra countryside

Israeli occupation forces shelled the village of al-Mashaala in the northern Quneitra countryside on Sunday, killing a number of sheep.

SANA’s reporter said that an Israeli artillery shell struck land west of the village while sheep were grazing in the area. No human casualties were reported.

The attack came a day after Israeli occupation forces fired several artillery shells at farmland south of al-Rafid in the southern Quneitra countryside.

That shelling was followed by gunfire from Israeli forces stationed at Tal al-Jalaa inside the occupied Syrian Golan, with no injuries reported.

Israeli occupation forces have continued to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, including raids on civilian homes, arrests, the bulldozing of land and artillery attacks.

Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, saying all measures taken by the occupation are null and void under international law. It has also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and press Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
