Iraqi Army secures Al-Shuhada District in southern Fallujah
The Iraqi Army’s 34th Brigade, backed by the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) and Federal Police, once again liberated the Al-Shuhada District in southern Fallujah after the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) successfully reentered it last week. According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, their armed forces cleared the Al-Shuhada District en route to reaching the Industrial District’s southern axis. With Al-Shuhada under their control, the Iraqi Armed Forces will now turn their attention to the Al-Jbeil District, where they have faced fierce resistance from the Islamic State terrorists in the past.
