Hezbollah Launches Drone Assault on Zionist Military Equipment in Southern Lebanon
In a defensive maneuver in response to ongoing Israeli aggression, Hezbollah resistance fighters have successfully targeted and destroyed technical equipment belonging to Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s media bureau released a statement on Saturday indicating that their resistance fighters deployed two kamikaze drones to target equipment on the outskirts of the Jal al-Dei military position, close to the town of Aitaroun in Lebanon’s Nabatieh province.
The report further indicated that Hezbollah operatives successfully targeted and destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank on the southeastern outskirts of Yahmour al-Shaqif.
According to the statement, an Ababil combat drone successfully targeted and destroyed the tank.
In a separate incident, a position held by Israeli occupation forces in the southern Lebanese city of Naqoura came under attack by two Hezbollah drones.
Hezbollah fighters launched artillery shells targeting a congregation of Israeli army vehicles stationed near the town of Yahmour al-Shaqif.
In a recent incident, Hezbollah fighters deployed an attack drone to target an Israeli military multi-purpose Hummer vehicle. The operation took place in the elevated region of Hammamas, located south of Khiam. The aerial assault resulted in injuries among the enemy forces.
A Hezbollah-operated drone struck a military zone within the Galilee region, located in the northern sector of the Israeli-occupied territories.
Hezbollah has deployed First-Person View (FPV) drones, which are compact, cost-effective, explosive-laden “kamikaze” devices directed by an operator using specialized goggles. A notable feature of these drones is the incorporation of a physical fiber-optic cable, ranging from 10 to 30 kilometers in length, linking the drone to its controller. This cable facilitates the transmission of video feeds and commands without emitting any wireless signals. Consequently, these drones demonstrate a significant resilience to electronic jamming efforts, allowing Hezbollah to circumvent the advanced and costly defense systems employed by the Israeli military.
The drones have inflicted substantial casualties on Israeli occupation forces by precisely striking troop concentrations, tanks, and various military assets, successfully bypassing radar and heat detection systems.
Hezbollah’s adoption of cost-effective yet highly effective strategies marks a significant tactical evolution, moving beyond its traditional reliance on anti-tank guided missiles. This approach has allowed the group to continue inflicting losses on the military forces of the occupation regime.
