Senior Diplomat Hails Martyrs’ Sacrifices for Bolstering Iran’s Resolve and Strength
A senior Iranian diplomat has declared that the sacrifices made by the nation's martyrs, along with the leadership of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, have rendered the Islamic Republic "stronger, more aware, and more determined than ever before."

In a post on X on Saturday, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, commemorated the first anniversary of the country’s resolute defense and response against the 12-day unprovoked aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime, which began targeting the nation at the same time last year.
The official recounted how the “American-Zionist enemy” believed it could undermine the spirit of a nation with a series of strikes during the conflict.
Gharibabadi paid homage to the senior officials and nuclear scientists who lost their lives during the imposed conflict, mentioning prominent figures such as Iran’s previous high-ranking military leader, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the past chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, and the former commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh.
**Iran Remains Resolute Amid Terror and Coercion**
He stated that the Israeli regime, reliant on the assassination of commanders and scientists from sovereign nations to maintain its existence, seeks power not through conventional warfare, but through acts of desperation, aggression, and criminal activity.
Gharibabadi stated that the martyrdom of Iranian officials and scientists underscores the legitimacy of a nation that has remained steadfast against force, terror, and coercion.
**”Neither Failure Nor Retreat”**
In reviewing the events of the past year, including the 12-day conflict and the subsequent unprovoked acts by Washington and Tel Aviv from February 28 to April 7, the deputy foreign minister stated that the nation has emerged more resilient and robust from these challenges.
After a year has elapsed, Iran has neither faltered nor retracted its stance, nor has its determination diminished. Instead, it has secured significant triumphs against its adversaries.
Gharibabadi acknowledged the contributions of the martyrs, notably Ayatollah Khamenei, who was martyred during the second wave of hostilities, emphasizing their role in fortifying the Islamic Republic’s resolve, vigilance, and fortitude. He recognized the late Leader as the “standard-bearer of Iran’s honor.”
**A Commitment to Iran’s Future**
A diplomat emphasized that the memory of those who lost their lives during the two imposed conflicts continues to resonate within the country, highlighting particularly the tragic loss of over 160 schoolchildren in Minab, southern Iran, at the hands of the US and Israeli forces in early February. The enduring remembrance of these ordinary Iranians is ingrained in the national consciousness.
The statement serves not just as a remembrance of grief, but as a pledge for Iran’s strength, sovereignty, and future.
