Haneyya: Nakba anniversary will be a catastrophe for Israel

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has affirmed that the Palestinian people in the occupied territories would turn the 70th Nakba anniversary into a catastrophe hitting Israel and its Zionist project.

“The Palestinians, next Monday and Tuesday (May 14 and 15), will rise up as one man to tell the US president and Israel that Jerusalem is an Islamic and Arab city and no one will be able to change its identity,” Haneyya said, addressing protesters rallying in a border area east of al-Bureij refugee camp on Friday afternoon.

“We will have an appointment with the big march on May 14. Our people will march en masse from Lebanon camps to the northern border of Palestine, and our people in Jordan will also march to al-Karama area that oversees Palestine,” the Hamas official said.
