EU Parliamentarian Demands Probe into Alleged US-Israeli Incident Involving Minab Schoolgirls

A European parliamentarian has urged an inquiry into the incident involving US and Israeli forces, resulting in the deaths of schoolgirls in Minab. The lawmaker suggested that the event may have been a deliberate attack.

On February 28, forces from the United States and Israel initiated military operations against Iran, resulting in airstrikes that struck the Minab School in southern Iran. The attacks tragically claimed the lives of 168 individuals, including children and teachers, on the initial day of the conflict.

Milan Uhrik, a European Parliament member, called for an investigation into the recent attack on a school in Minab.

During a funeral rally named “Angels of Minab,” which took place outside the Iranian embassy in Brussels, a Member of the European Parliament expressed suspicions that the attack might have been executed deliberately.

Uhrik commented that the capacity of the Israeli regime is clear to all observers.

He referenced what he described as the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, highlighting it as an example of the actions being carried out by Israeli forces against civilians.

Uhrik condemned the assaults on Lebanese children, women, and the elderly, citing them as further evidence of the harsh actions by Israeli forces.

The Israelis possess the capability to target civilians, instill fear within communities, and attempt to secure victory through any means necessary, Uhrik stated. He emphasized the need for an investigation into the attack on the Minab school, suggesting it could have been a deliberate assault.

Uhrik has claimed that the airstrikes on Minab school represent a war crime, urging the European Union and individual European nations to refrain from participating in such activities.

He stated that he dispatched a letter to the European Commission concerning the matter.

A Slovak politician criticized the European Commission and European leaders, accusing them of employing double standards in addressing such crimes.

He stated that European nations tend to sidestep investigations into these crimes due to their perceived vulnerability, further commenting that European leaders lack the fortitude to oppose the assertive policies set forth by Washington and Tel Aviv.

The conflict involving Iran has sparked significant international criticism and revealed substantial divisions within the Western alliance.

Approximately 50 activists gathered in Brussels to demonstrate their solidarity with the people of Iran during a funeral rally.
