Bilal Kayed ends 70 days of hunger strike

Prisoner Bilal Kayed has decided to suspend his hunger strike following a deal with the Israeli prosecution.

Lawyer Sahar Francis said that the Israeli prosecution pledged to the defense crew not to renew the administrative detention of prisoner Kayed, which he will complete on December 12, 2016.

Addameer Association, for its part, said it would hold a news conference on Thursday morning to announce the details of the deal.

70 days ago, prisoner Kayed started an open-ended hunger strike in protest at his detention administratively after he completed a prison term of 14 and a half years in Israeli jails.
