Abadi: Campaign to Restore Mosul Enters Decisive Phase, Goes as Planned

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Saturday that the “Nineveh, We Are Coming” operations has entered a decisive phase, confirming that it is going according to planned.

Abadi’s statement came during his visit to the headquarters of Joint Special Operations Command, where he met with leaders of security and military personnel, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

On the third day of launching the second phase of the battle of Mosul, Iraqi forces announced the liberation of Al-Arkoob region north of Al-Hadbaa neighborhood as well as the Second al-Quds neighborhood from the militants of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) terrorist group.
