Zionist Forces Initiate Air Strikes on Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military initiated an aerial offensive on southern Lebanon, focusing on residential zones in the towns of Mais Al-Jabal, Kfar Tibnit, Debbin, Shehabiya, and Burj Qallawiyah.

The raids followed a warning from the Israeli military, which threatened to target civilian areas in the specified towns. This move marks an ongoing series of Israeli infringements on the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.

The threat resulted in the displacement of numerous families, as evident efforts by Israeli forces aimed to instill fear and sow disorder in the area.

Israel asserted that the targeted locations were military installations; however, evidence indicates that they were primarily residential homes and civilian structures.

The Lebanese army has released a statement asserting that the Israeli adversary has persisted in its breaches, surpassing 4,500 violations since the ceasefire agreement was enacted following the latest hostilities against Lebanon in 2024.

In this latest escalation, Israeli forces have persisted in their assaults on civilians, with the most recent operations impacting multiple southern villages as well as other populated regions. These actions have resulted in casualties, including deaths and injuries.

The statement highlighted ongoing transgressions against Lebanese sovereignty through incidents on land, sea, and air. It further noted continuous offenses against border village residents, citing events such as the deployment of Molotov cocktails and the demolition of homes as part of these actions.

“These assaults and violations obstruct the army’s deployment efforts in the southern region. If they persist, they will impede the execution of the strategic plan, beginning from the area south of the Litani River.”

Loyalty to the Resistance MP Hasan Fadlallah stated that recent acts of Zionist aggression serve to strengthen the convictions of resistance supporters.
