The Houthi forces, backed by the Yemeni Republican Guard, continued their march towards the Hadi regime’s provincial stronghold on Saturday, capturing a key area from the Saudi-backed troops in the Marib Governorate.

According to Al-Masdar’s Yemeni War correspondent, Tony Toh, the Houthi forces and their allies seized the Al-Qaf area inside the Jada’an District after a fierce battle with the Hadi loyalists and Saudi-led Coalition.

With the capture of Al-Qaf on Saturday, the Houthi forces and their allies are now within 10 km of the Marib Governorate’s provincial capital.

Meanwhile, west of the Marib Governorate, the Hadi loyalists attempted to recapture the Al-Yam Mountains that overlook east Sina’a; however, this counter-offensive was repelled after a short battle.
