Top Military Leader Asserts Iran’s Combat Readiness Prevents New Aggression
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has conveyed contentment with the enhancement of Iran's defensive deterrence. He emphasized that the country's heightened combat readiness has effectively dissuaded adversaries from launching a new wave of attacks.

On Wednesday, during a visit to the tactical headquarters of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force in Tehran, Mousavi declared that the country’s defensive and combat capabilities have advanced to a point where they deter adversaries from any miscalculations, including the idea of initiating a new invasion.
A senior military leader lauded the comprehensive readiness of the Iranian armed forces, emphasizing their robust capability to safeguard the nation’s independence, security, and territorial integrity, as well as to address any potential threats or dangers.
Mousavi expressed gratitude for the armed forces’ alertness and acumen, commending their historical expertise, especially during the 1980-88 conflict initiated by the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, as well as during the 12-day Israeli-US conflict in June.
The senior military official characterized the enhancement of defensive and military capabilities across multiple domains as an unavoidable strategy.
Mousavi emphasized that these strategies ensure enduring security and bolster Iran’s deterrent defense capabilities against potential aggression.
On June 13, Israeli forces initiated a controversial operation against Iran, resulting in the deaths of several senior officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
In a swift response within 24 hours, Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones, further extending their actions with a series of operations under the code name True Promise III.
On June 22, the United States took military action in support of Israel by launching airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities. These actions represented a bold contravention of international law.
In a move declared as self-defense, Iran fired missiles targeting Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which stands as the largest US military air base in the West Asian region.
On June 24, the Israeli government, facing significant challenges, was compelled to unilaterally agree to a truce arrangement.
