Syrian Army kills high ranking ISIL emir from Saudi Arabia

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) killed one of the highest ranking emirs of ISIL, Sunday, following their advance in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

According to a military source in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces killed Abu ‘Obeidah Al-Najdi, a Saudi national that led ISIL forces in the northwestern countryside of the province.

In addition to the dead ISIL commander, at least 30 other terrorists were killed during the Syrian Army’s advance on Sunday evening.

The Syrian Arab Army is now pushing to secure the remaining towns and oil fields under ISIL’s control in the northwestern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
