The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that Syrian Army troops’ advances against ISIL in Eastern Aleppo on Monday completed the siege of the terrorists trapped in the town of al-Bab.

“ISIL terrorists are now under a complete siege in the town of al-Bab following the advances of the army and its popular allies and after they seized control over the main road connecting al-Bab to Raqqa,” SOHR’s Rami Abdulrahman disclosed.

Reports said earlier on Monday that the army troops continued their anti-ISIL advances in Eastern Aleppo and deployed soldiers in the nearest distance to the terrorist-held town of al-Bab after capturing a key hill near the town.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL after liberating the town of al-Oweishiyeh and managed to take control of the al-Oweishiyeh hill Southeast of al-Bab, deploying forces in the nearest positions to the terrorist-held town.

A military source said meantime that with these advances the army men have now won control over terrorists’ movement from Tadif to the town and to Abu Jabar Kabir in the Eastern part of Aleppo province, deploying in nearest distance to the town of al-Bab and the first defense line of the terrorists in Tadif.

Homs

Syrian Army soldiers struck ISIL’s defense lines in Western Badiyeh (desert) near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and managed to win back more lands and positions, inflicting a heavy death toll on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL in a region between al-Bayarat and Tadmur, advancing against the terrorists in the region.

The ISIL suffered tens of casualties and lost several vehicles in the attack.

Tens of ISIL terrorists also fled the battlefield towards the depths of the Badiyeh desert.

The army soldiers also drove ISIL out of the village of al-Beidheh al-Sharqi to the East of the Fourth Station towards Bayarat.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force carried out repeated attacks on ISIL’s positions and its defense lines in Western Badiyeh of Tadmur, killing or wounding tens of them and destroying their vehicles.

Also, the army troops continued their advances to the Northwest of Palmyra and seized control of Hayan Gas Field Crossroad on Sunday.

ISIL lost a number of forces and its military equipment sustained major damage in the attack.

The army aircraft played a crucial role in the ground forces’ advances, reports said.

The warplanes bombed heavily ISIL’s military columns and gatherings near the gas and oil wells in Tadmur countryside, killing several terrorists.

Deir Ezzur

Syrian Army soldiers warded off ISIL’s heavy attack on their positions in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.

The army men clashed fiercely with ISIL in Deir Ezzur’s cemetery and near al-Tamin Brigade and could fend off terrorists’ attack on government forces’ positions.

The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll in the attack, army reports said.

The army’s missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s movements, destroying a military vehicle of the militants near al-Makbat region and killing a number of them, added the reports.

Raqqa

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued the third phase of their Euphrates Rage Operation and advanced against ISIL, taking control over one more village in the region.

The SDF engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL near the village of Beir Saeed and managed to win control over the village, killing at least 17 ISIL members and seizing a large volume of arms and ammunition.

The engineering units defused at least fifty landmines planted by the ISIL in Beir Saeed.

Local sources in Northeastern Syria disclosed earlier on Monday that ISIL has decided to use the terrorist group’s administrative staff in the battlefronts after a large number of its members escaped Raqqa.

The sources said that ISIL has been faced with severe shortage of fighters and have found no way to overcome the problem but dispatching its administrative personnel to the battlefronts, after its field forces fled the ISIL-held regions in groups.

“ISIL has threatened those members that have not thus far joined battle with death and cut of salary,” they added.
