President al-Sharaa issues Decree No. 39 for 2026 granting general amnesty

Syrian President Ahmad al Sharaa has issued Legislative Decree No. 39 for the year 2026, granting a general amnesty for crimes committed prior to the date of its issuance, in accordance with the provisions outlined in the decree.

The decree forms part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance social stability and promote national reconciliation.
