Israel violates Syrian sovereignty in Quneitra countryside

Israeli regime forces have carried out a new incursion into the southern countryside of Quneitra in southern Syria, according to Syrian media.

According to local sources, Israeli military forces entered areas of southern Quneitra earlier on Wednesday.

The report said the Israeli forces, consisting of three vehicles—including two Hilux pickup trucks and one military Humvee—advanced from the entrance of the town of Beerajam toward the village of Bariqa.

The incursion comes one day after Israeli forces entered the area between the villages of Ruwayhina and Al-Mushrifah, where they set up a temporary checkpoint at the intersection of the village of Umm al-‘Adam in northern Quneitra.

Israeli forces also reportedly entered the village of Al-Asha, detained one civilian, and established a temporary checkpoint between the village of Ain al-Zaywan and the town of Kudna in southern Quneitra.

Israeli occupation forces have continued near-daily violations of Syrian sovereignty in various parts of southern Syria, including incursions, the establishment of temporary checkpoints, detentions, and acts of destruction in the region.
