IRGC Official: Terrorists in Syria, Iraq Lack Defense Power

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander for political affairs Brigadier General Rasoul Sanayee Rad underlined the resistance forces’ astonishing victories against terrorists in Iraq and Syria, and said the militants can no more attack or even defend themselves.

“The resistance forces are strengthening the trend of their victories and as the withdrawal and fleeing of the Takfiri forces shows the terrorists lack offensive and defensive power,” General Sanayee Rad said on Monday.

Noting that the terrorists have lost their self-confidence, he said, “A type of collapse in the social dimensions is happening for the Takfiri stream and this trend will pave the ground for their collapse in the military field.”

In relevant remarks in May, top advisor to the IRGC Quds Force commander and current Iranian ambassador to Baghdad announced that the downfall of the ISIL terrorist group has started.

“The ISIL collapse has started intellectually and doctrinally and in the battlefield,” Brigadier General Iraj Masjedi said, addressing a gathering in the Central city of Kashan.

He expressed the hope that the current year would witness the fall of the ISIL and Takfiri terrorism in the region.

Elsewhere, General Masjedi blasted the US and Israel for their warmongering policies in the region, and said, “While the Americans claim that they are fighting against the terrorists, they don’t carry out any operations against the ISIL and instead supply them with equipment and weapons.”
