“The US has not adopted a constructive policy on the Syrian issue so far and we have seen in certain cases that it has supported the terrorists in Iraq and Syria and has stepped onto the scene directly or indirectly to their benefit,” Takht Ravanchi said on Saturday.
He referred to the US April missile strike against Syria’s Shayrat airbase in Homs province, and said the attack pleased the terrorists who are fighting in Syria.
Takht Ravanchi challenged the Americans’ claim that the US has not adopted a clear policy on Syria yet, and said that Washington has left a bad record in Syria and Iraq.
In relevant remarks in Mary, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander for political affairs Brigadier General Rasul Sanayee Rad blasted the US support for the Takfiri terrorists amid political talks to settle the crisis in Syria, and said Washington is trying to raise their morale.
“Supporters of the terrorists adopt certain measures to compensate for their repeated defeats and boost their morale,” General Sanayee said.
He referred to Washington’s support for the terrorists and its April attack on al-Shayrat airbase which hosts the Syrian army forces, and said, “The Americans’ moves are meant to make up for the terrorist groups’ failures and send this message to them that they are not alone in the region.”
Also, spokesman for Asa’eb al-Haq Movement affiliated to the Iraqi popular forces of Hashd al-Shaabi said in May that the US planes have again dropped aid packages over ISIL-held regions near a town in Western Nineveh province.
Javad al-Talaybawi said that a US airplane has airdropped supplies and aid to the ISIL terrorist group West of the town of Tal Afar.
He further underscored that the US forces are sending aid to ISIL to prolong their so-called war on the terrorist group.
Al-Talaybawi added that the US move to provide ISIL with aid testifies that Washington’s claims about war on terrorism are sheer lies.
Al-Talaybawi said in early March that the US forces carried out a rapid heliborne operation and evacuated two commanders of ISIL terrorists from Western Mosul in Northern Iraq.
Al-Talaybawi said that the US forces carried out the heliborne operation in one of the Western neighborhoods of Western Mosul, evacuating two senior ISIL commanders to an unknown location after the commanders came under siege by Iraqi government forces in intensified clashes in Western Mosul.
“Americans’ support and assistance to the ISIL is done openly to save their regional plan in a desperately attempt,” al-Talaybawi underlined.
