Rebel groups in the central province of Homs continue to surrender their heavy and medium weapons to the Syrian Army as per an evacuation agreement held earlier.
The handed-over weapons include tanks and technical machineguns, as well as portable air defense system (MANPADS) type FN-6.
The Chinese-made FN-6 or Feinu-6 is a third generation passive infrared homing (IR) man portable air defense system.
This advanced surface-to-air system was supplied to the Syrian rebels by Qatar a few years ago to fight the Syrian Army.
