Hezbollah MP from Iran’s Mashhad Warns Concessions Fuel Ongoing Israeli Aggression

A representative of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary bloc, MP Hasan Fadlallah, strongly criticized the Israeli occupation for its ongoing assaults in the region. He emphasized that making concessions to this adversary merely serves to embolden its aggressive actions.

In a speech delivered at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Political Affairs in Mashhad on Thursday, MP Fadlallah urged Arab and Islamic nations to foster unity and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of setting aside historical disputes, rejecting discord, and enhancing cooperative efforts for the collective welfare of their populations.

In his remarks, MP Fadlallah expressed strong support for the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of the Israeli aggression it encountered last June, while also commending any moves towards improved relations between the involved countries.

The actions taken by the government of the Zionist entity highlight the significant degree of Israeli aggression aimed at compromising the sovereignty, independence, and freedom of nations while also threatening international peace and security. In this parliamentary forum, we reaffirm our unequivocal denunciation of the Israeli aggression towards the Islamic Republic, and we commend its resilience and its legitimate exercise of self-defense as per the Charter of Human Rights and international conventions.

In a statement underscoring Iran’s actions to uphold national sovereignty, the Lebanese representative praised the Iranian populace for their solidarity and support for their leadership in protecting both the nation’s dignity and territorial integrity. This declaration was made by the Lebanese lawmaker, who, along with MP Qassem Hashem, attended the meeting on behalf of Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri.

MP Fadlallah has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration of maintaining a hostile stance toward Lebanon. According to Fadlallah, this is evidenced by daily assaults, civilian casualties, attacks on property, the ongoing occupation of Lebanese territory, and the detention of numerous Lebanese individuals in Israeli prisons.

He highlighted recent threats from Israel to initiate a new conflict, emphasizing that these threats are intended to intimidate the Lebanese population and compel them to capitulate.

These mounting pressures will not compel our resilient populace, who remain steadfast in their pursuit of legitimate rights, to yield or relinquish their sovereignty and territory.

A Hezbollah lawmaker articulated demands calling for an end to aggression, the liberation of occupied territories, the release of prisoners, the reconstruction of areas affected by Israeli actions, and the establishment of a life characterized by freedom and dignity for the people.

He emphasized that granting concessions to the occupying force merely emboldens its aggression, asserting that steadfastness is essential, as the future will ultimately favor our people.
