Hezbollah Denounces US Strike in Iraq, Cautions Over Severe Regional Repercussions
Hezbollah issued a condemnation on Friday regarding the United States' attack on Iraq, labeling it as a blatant breach of international law.

Hezbollah on Friday issued a strong condemnation of the United States’ assault on Iraq, describing it as a blatant breach of international law as well as Iraq’s sovereignty and independence. The attack resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.
Hezbollah has issued a statement condemning what it describes as a blatant and perilous assault on an Iraqi government institution, facilitated with the involvement of an Arab nation. The organization warns of severe repercussions for the entire region resulting from this attack. According to the statement, the incident aligns with the objectives of a US-Israeli agenda, which Hezbollah claims is to destabilize the region, fracture the Arab and Islamic world, and escalate tensions and conflict.
Hezbollah criticized Saudi Arabia for not leveraging its traditionally close ties with Iraq—grounded in mutual neighborly relations and shared historical connections—to engage in dialogue and diplomatic efforts with the Iraqi government. The organization suggested that Saudi Arabia should focus on resolving disputes through these channels instead of aligning with U.S. and Israeli strategies, which Hezbollah claims aim to destabilize the region and erode its unity.
The organization accused the United States of persistently spilling Iraqi blood, alleging that it reveals Washington’s antagonistic agenda against Iraq and its citizens. They claimed that the U.S. aims to obstruct Iraq’s stability and recovery, undermine its national and regional influence, and sustain its interests in the nation’s resources.
Hezbollah has reiterated its solidarity with Iraq and its citizens, urging a swift, decisive, and responsible response from Arab, Islamic, and international communities to cease US hostilities, protect state sovereignty, and uphold international law.
The statement ended with a cautionary note, emphasizing that remaining silent in the face of such assaults and persisting in tolerating what it described as a perilous and damaging approach would inevitably lead the region toward serious and extensive ramifications.
