Hamas Reserves Retaliatory Rights After Commander’s Assassination, Says ‘israel’ Breaching Ceasefire
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has asserted that the movement maintains the right to retaliate against violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Zionist occupation, specifically highlighting the assassination of commander Raed Saad.

In an interview with Al Jazeera on Sunday, the leader of Hamas expressed homage to the fallen commander, praising his unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause and his commitment to defending his land and homeland.
Hamdan has accused the occupation forces of intentionally trying to disrupt the ongoing negotiations for the second phase of the truce.
It has been confirmed that rigorous discussions are ongoing with regional mediators, namely Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, concerning the subsequent phases of the ceasefire agreement.
He cautioned that the actions of the occupation are generating significant and possibly insurmountable obstacles.
Hamdan announced that discussions were underway with counterparts in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey to negotiate the subsequent phase of the ceasefire agreement. However, he alleged that the occupying forces were determined to undermine the agreement.
He affirmed the movement’s position regarding its military capabilities and objectives.
The statement emphasized their commitment to uphold their right to resistance, specifically highlighting armed resistance as a fundamental aspect of their stance.
Hamdan emphasized the importance of ensuring that any international force overseeing the second phase of the ceasefire adheres to and respects Palestinian sovereignty.
Palestinian factions are advocating for the establishment of an international force to serve as a guarantor for the enforcement of the ceasefire agreement. This force would operate without any authoritative powers or direct engagement with the Palestinian population in Gaza.

The Palestinian Resistance is entirely a grassroots decision and not solely a directive from the Hamas movement.
Hamdan emphasized that Hamas represents a continuation of a century-long conflict, highlighting that the movement emerged as an extension of a prolonged history of Palestinian resistance and has consistently pursued its path of opposition against the occupation for 40 years.
He justified the launch of the 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood campaign, asserting that there was unanimous support from Hamas leadership for the decision made on October 7.
He emphasized that the international acknowledgment of the Palestinian state is a significant outcome of the Al-Aqsa Flood.
Hamdan emphasized that the Palestinian resistance holds life in high regard, even in the face of ongoing campaigns of destruction by the occupying forces.
The significance of preserving life is of utmost priority, and under no circumstances will we consider jeopardizing it, regardless of the individual involved.
He subsequently issued a call for international remediation regarding the atrocities perpetrated by the occupying forces.
There have been calls for the international community to issue an apology to the Palestinian population in response to allegations of genocide believed to have been perpetrated by Israel.
An official has acknowledged the setbacks endured by the movement while emphasizing its enduring resilience.
The organization announced that it is restructuring its operations and regrouping its forces following the loss of several key leaders, expressing confidence that the global community will witness the unity and resilience of its movement.
