In highlighting Hamas’ dedication to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the group’s leader Khalil Al-Hayya expressed their preparedness to recover the bodies of all Israeli captives. However, he indicated that additional time and equipment are required to accomplish this task.
Al-Hayya announced on Al-Qahira Al-Akhbariya channel late Monday that they are prepared to return all captives’ remains as per the agreement. He emphasized that there is no intention to retain anyone, expressing a wish for them to reunite with their families. In addition, Al-Hayya mentioned that their martyrs would also be returned and given a dignified burial.
He stated that accessing the bodies poses a challenge due to their location underground and underneath collapsed structures, emphasizing that this effort requires both time and specialized equipment.
Officials have expressed their unwavering commitment to executing the Gaza agreement in full and ensuring its comprehensive implementation.
Hamas spokesperson Al-Hayya reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to the ceasefire agreement and the accords established with Palestinian factions, expressing confidence in the thorough execution of the agreement to ensure peace and facilitate reconstruction efforts.
Hamas’ leader announced that assurances received from mediators and the United States indicate the conclusion of hostilities in Gaza.
He further emphasized to the mediators the necessity of increasing the volume of aid entering Gaza to adequately address the needs of its residents.
