The Free Syrian Army (FSA) said that the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front has abducted its senior media official in Southern Idlib.
“Mohammad Haj Rabi, a top communication official of 13th division of the FSA, was traced and abducted by al-Nusra terrorists on way from Maarat al-Nu’aman to Idlib,” the FSA said.

“Also a couple of days ago, al-Nusra abducted Zaher al-Ahmad, the commander of Brigade 56 of the FAS in the village of al-Qadafa in the Eastern side of Maarat al-Nu’aman,” the sources added.

Provincial sources said on Friday that differences intensified among Ahrar al-Sham and Jund al-Aqsa terrorist groups in the Southern countryside of Idlib after the killing of an Ahrar commander in the region.

“Ahrar al-Sham, in a statement, vowed to avenge assassination of the group’s commander by the Jund al-Aqsa rivals near Ariha,” the sources said.

“Ahrar in its statement gave only 24 hours to Jund al-Aqsa to have over those behind the killing of its commander,” they said, adding, “Ahrar al-Sham has started to abduct Jund al-Aqsa’s fighters near Ariha.
