China Cautions U.S. Against Aggression on Iran, Citing Risk of Regional Instability
China has issued a cautionary statement regarding potential US-led military actions against Iran, suggesting that such maneuvers could dangerously destabilize West Asia and push the region toward unforeseen outcomes.

In a statement made on Wednesday at the United Nations Security Council, China’s permanent representative, Fu Cong, emphasized that the situation involving Iran is garnering worldwide attention amid escalating threats of conflict and increasing regional tensions.
He cautioned that irresponsible military actions could lead to disastrous outcomes, emphasizing that “The use of force is not a solution to issues. Any military adventurism will merely plunge the region into an uncertain future.”
Fu called on Washington and its allies to cease actions that could escalate the crisis, stressing the importance of the United States and other involved entities listening to the international community and regional nations. He emphasized the need for measures that promote peace and stability in the Middle East, urging against any attempts that might heighten tensions or intensify the situation.
Reiterating Iran’s sovereign rights, Fu underscored the necessity for the nation’s future to be dictated exclusively by its own citizens. He affirmed Beijing’s commitment to backing Iran’s stability, sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
He reaffirmed China’s firm stance on international law, urging all parties to adhere to the UN Charter’s purposes and principles, oppose interference in the internal affairs of other nations, and reject the use or threat of force in international relations.
A Chinese diplomatic representative firmly dismissed the notion of turning West Asia into a battleground for foreign power conflicts, emphasizing that the region rightfully belongs to its inhabitants and should not be compromised by external geopolitical agendas.
China’s ambassador to the United Nations made the comments against a backdrop of heightened rhetoric from Trump, who has recently been issuing threats of new military action against Iran.
In a strategic military move, the United States has dispatched the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, accompanied by its strike group, to the West Asia region near Iran. Additionally, Trump announced on Tuesday that a further ‘armada’ of American naval vessels is en route to the Islamic Republic.
In a statement late last week, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, the Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), underscored that Iran is thoroughly equipped to retaliate decisively against any acts of hostility directed at the nation. He issued a warning to adversaries to refrain from engaging in further adventurous actions.
