Palestinian youth and national activists along with the local council of Qalandya town in northern Occupied Jerusalem called for performing Friday prayer over the rubble of the demolished homes in the town. Journalist Mahmoud Awadallah said this event aims at refusing the Israeli crime committed at dawn last Tuesday in the town whereby 11 Palestinian homes were knocked down for lacking construction permits.
The event also comes for supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian owners whose homes were razed just 24 hours after receiving the Israeli demolition notices. They had already been working on the issuance of construction permits, the journalist added. He pointed out that the demolished homes included over 25 housing apartments, some of them were inhabited.
