Blast Shakes Iran’s Southern Port

A huge blast rattled Iran’s southern Shahid Rajaei Port on Saturday.

The head of the crisis management organization of Hormozgan Province said the powerful explosion occurred at Shahid Rajaei Port at noon.

He said the cause of the blast was unclear.

The blast has reportedly damaged an administrative building at the port, which is located only kilometers away from the provincial capital, Bandar Abbas.

The blast was also felt in Bandar Abbas and the Qeshm island in the Persian Gulf.
