Sayyed Al-Houthi: Yemeni People Confront Ongoing Aggression and an Unjust Blockade

Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, said the victories achieved with God’s help are part of the Yemeni people’s just cause.

Sayyed Houthi said in a speech that Yemenis continue to face aggression and an unjust blockade as the conflict enters its 12th year, describing the campaign as being carried out by Saudi Arabia under U.S. supervision and with Israeli backing.

Houthi said Saudi Arabia failed to take meaningful steps toward peace during the de-escalation period, instead using it to intensify what he called arbitrary measures and establish takfiri military formations.

Houthi said they were acting in self-defense and had not initiated hostilities, asserting that the latest escalation began with the bombing of Sanaa Airport and that the opposing side had launched unjustified aggression at every stage.

The Yemeni leader said the coalition has targeted civilians in homes, markets, schools and hospitals since 2015, damaging or destroying more than 2,000 mosques, historical sites and a center for the blind in Sanaa.

Sayyed Houthi said the blockade remains a critical issue, citing airport closures, restrictions on imported goods, disruptions to public-sector salaries, and limited access to essential food and medication for chronic diseases.

The Houthi group rejected claims that Yemeni forces had targeted Mecca, calling the allegations entirely false and defamatory.
