Commander: ‘Triangle of power’ Helped Iran Overcome US-israeli War

Iran’s Armed Forces, leadership and people formed a “triangle of power” that enabled the country to thwart its adversaries’ plans during two wars imposed by the United States and Israel, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari said Monday.

Heidari said the people’s timely and informed participation had helped thwart enemy plots.

He said Iran’s adversaries had used a combination of scenarios, hybrid warfare and domestic agents to fuel unrest, insecurity and instability in the country.

He said the adversary had miscalculated by underestimating Iran’s capabilities and determination, adding that it had not expected Tehran to broaden the conflict across the region during the 40-day war.

He also underscored the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, saying Iran’s military capabilities in the area had enabled it to exert significant influence over regional and global economic dynamics.
