Syria launches operation to clear war debris in Damascus’ Jobar neighborhood

The Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management , in coordination with local and international organizations, has launched a major operation to remove war debris from the Jobar neighborhood of Damascus.

The ministry, working alongside the Damascus Governorate, said the current phase of the campaign focuses on reopening main and secondary roads and ensuring safe access for engineering teams, surveyors, and other personnel.

Jobar has sustained heavy damage over years of war due to bombardment by forces of the deposed regime, leaving streets strewn with rubble and hindering relief and reconstruction efforts.

The effort is part of the government’s ongoing initiative to rebuild areas that suffered extensive conflict-related damage.
