Iran Security Body Reports 2,427 Fatalities Amid US-israeli-Led Protests Described as ‘Full-Scale Atrocity’
Iran’s Security Council has issued a report concerning the latest series of foreign-supported terrorist disturbances nationwide. The document states that 2,427 individuals, encompassing both innocent civilians and security forces, lost their lives in what it describes as a "full-scale atrocity" allegedly orchestrated by the United States and the Israeli regime.
According to the statement, an additional 690 individuals lost their lives during the riots, bringing the overall death toll to 3,117.
The report indicates that the peak of the violence was reached on January 8 and 9, showcasing an extraordinary degree of brutality.
A report held by the council indicates that, over a span of two days, a significant atrocity was perpetrated against the Iranian nation, allegedly with the backing of adversaries.
Militant factions are reportedly involved in acts reminiscent of those committed by Daesh, encompassing beheadings, stabbings, and the immolation of individuals.
The assaults resulted in extensive devastation, with coordinated attacks targeting marketplaces, retail establishments, financial institutions, places of worship, medical facilities, emergency response vehicles, fire stations, clinics, and public infrastructure.
The council observed that the incidents initially started as peaceful demonstrations by merchants and trade associations addressing economic challenges. Masoud Pezeshkian personally engaged with representatives to understand their grievances and directed law enforcement to maintain utmost restraint.
The report indicates that organized chaos cells intervened to obstruct peaceful resolutions, escalating their tactics to targeted armed assaults aimed at causing mass casualties and destabilizing urban centers.

Intelligence findings indicate that the campaign was initiated as a direct response to the unsuccessful “12-day war” conducted by the United States and Israel in June of the previous year.
The statement claimed that after understanding that military aggression was insufficient to break Iran’s resolve, the US-Zionist alliance altered its strategy to undermine Iran’s social unity.
The statement declared that adversaries have recognized the futility of military strategies in defeating the Iranian nation. As a result, they have shifted their focus to undermining the social cohesion of the country with the aim of fracturing its collective national resolve.
The council attributed the collapse of the “sinister plot” to the astute leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the sacrifices made by security forces, and the monumental demonstration on January 12, when millions of Iranians rallied against the violence.
The report highlighted that normalcy has been restored in the country, crediting the strong national unity among the Iranian people for overcoming the adversaries of Iran.
