MARTYR OF QUDS: Mourners Worldwide Commemorate 6th Anniversary of General Soleimani, the Heroic anti ISIS-DAESH-NUSRA fighter

A large gathering of mourners convened early Saturday at the resting site of Martyr Soleimani, marking six years since the general’s assassination by the United States. The ceremony reached its peak at 1:20 a.m. local time, the exact moment when the military leader was killed in a US drone strike near Baghdad, Iraq.

Participants voiced opposition to the United States and Israel, waving flags and chanting slogans to reaffirm their commitment to Soleimani’s ideology, which underscores resistance against oppression and tyranny.

General Soleimani, the leader of the Quds Force within the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), was instrumental in dismantling the Daesh terrorist faction across West Asia, contributing significantly to their expulsion from Iraq by December 2017. On January 3, 2020, Soleimani, alongside Iraq’s prominent anti-terror leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, was killed in a US drone strike authorized by Trump during his initial term in office, near Baghdad International Airport.

General Qasem Soleimani was interred in his hometown of Kerman.

Ceremonies of remembrance were conducted in both Pakistan and Russia.

In Pakistan, distinct ceremonies took place in the capital city of Islamabad and the major metropolis of Karachi on Friday evening to mark the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani.

The events organized by the Iranian embassy and consulate general saw attendance from religious and political dignitaries of Pakistan, along with members of the Iranian expatriate community residing in the country.

Attendees lauded General Soleimani for his pivotal role in countering US-Israeli strategies, hailing him as a symbol of peace in West Asia. They also extolled the slain general for his contributions to enhancing regional unity.

On Friday night, the Moscow Islamic Center hosted a significant ceremony, drawing attendees from Iran, Russia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iraq, and various other Muslim nations.

The ceremony took place on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), the first Shia imam, which occurred on Saturday. Attendees also paid tribute to General Soleimani, lauding his international recognition for his efforts in combating terrorism.
