Iran Promises ‘Swift, Decisive, Comprehensive’ Retaliation Following Trump Warning
Iran has issued a warning to the United States, cautioning against interference in its internal matters. The country has promised a "swift, decisive, and comprehensive" reaction to any act of aggression, in response to recent threatening statements made by Trump.

In a statement released on Friday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry vehemently criticized recent comments made by Trump and other U.S. officials, describing such remarks as a perpetuation of Washington’s “bullying and unlawful approach” towards Iran.
The ministry has condemned the comments as a blatant breach of the core principles outlined in the United Nations Charter and international law, specifically regarding the respect for national sovereignty. It further warned that these statements equate to incitement of “violence and terrorism” against citizens of Iran.
In light of an extensive history of what it describes as criminal interference by US administrations over the years, it has dismissed American assertions of concern for the Iranian populace as hypocritical. The intentions are seen as attempts to mislead public opinion and obscure both past and ongoing transgressions committed against Iranians.
The statement highlighted United States involvement in the 1953 overthrow of Iran’s Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, collaboration with Saddam Hussein during the 1980s conflict against the Islamic Republic, the 1988 incident involving the downing of Iran Air Flight 655 by a U.S. warship which resulted in the deaths of 300 civilians, and the long-standing sanctions affecting the livelihoods and basic rights of Iranian citizens.
The statement also highlighted the United States’ alleged collaboration with the Israeli government during the June conflict, which targeted crucial infrastructure and protected nuclear sites. This conflict reportedly resulted in the assassination of Iranian scientists and officials, as well as the deaths of ordinary civilians, including young children.
The ministry emphasized the duties of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General, as outlined in the UN Charter, to uphold global peace and security amid Washington’s assertive unilateral actions.
It emphasized that the Iranian populace would not tolerate any “malicious foreign interference” in their efforts to engage in dialogue and address domestic matters.
In the meantime, it evaluated the recent threats from the United States as being consistent with the Israeli regime’s strategy of increasing tensions in the region.
The statement warned that any repercussions resulting from new American actions against Iran would be solely the responsibility of the United States.
The statement followed a warning from Trump directed at Iran through a social media post, asserting that the United States is ready to engage in military action. This response comes amid what he described as Iran’s potential aggressive moves against intermittent protests related to the depreciation of the rial, the nation’s currency.
In response to the post, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that Iranians would resist any foreign intervention in their domestic matters. He highlighted that an analysis of U.S. initiatives conducted purportedly to “save the people of Iran” exposes the truth behind Washington’s professed concern.
According to reports, allegations have been made that the United States is threatening to launch an attack on Iran, allegedly under the pretense of humanitarian concerns, which would constitute a clear breach of international law.
In a recent statement, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf asserted that Trump’s comments constituted a clear acknowledgment of aggressive intent, cautioning that all American installations and forces in the region could become “legitimate targets” should there be any new displays of American intervention. Qalibaf emphasized that the Islamic Republic differentiates between authentic protesters and those influenced by foreign interests, highlighting that Iranians consistently unite against external threats.
Earlier, Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, issued a warning to Washington, stating that any U.S. interference in Iran’s internal affairs could destabilize the region and lead to the destruction of American interests.
