Iran Designates November 30th as ‘Trio Islands Day’

Iran has officially designated November 30th as the National Day of the Trio Islands, honoring Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa in the Persian Gulf.

Gholamreza Basirnia, a representative from Iran’s Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, announced that November 30th has been designated as the National Day for the trio of islands in the Persian Gulf, namely Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa.

Basirnia highlighted that November 30 marks the anniversary of the Iranian Army Navy’s reclamation of the three Persian Gulf islands from British control in 1971.

At a recent SCCR meeting, it was announced that November 12th will now be recognized as “National Aerospace Day” in honor of the esteemed martyrs from Iran’s aerospace and missile industry, including IRGC Major General Hassan Tehrani Moghadam, who was martyred in 2011, and Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
