Hamas Demands International Guarantees, Says ‘israel’ Committing Genocide

Hamas has reported that zionist forces have continued their lethal operations throughout the Gaza Strip, even as negotiations are taking place to halt what has been described as a two-year-long campaign of genocide by Tel Aviv on the coastal enclave.

Khalil al-Hayya, leader of the movement’s negotiation team, expressed skepticism regarding the Israeli occupation, asserting that it “cannot be trusted,” during a gathering held in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Tuesday.

Hamas representative Hayya, along with his colleagues, has arrived in the city to examine the potential for halting the ongoing conflict. This development follows a proposal put forth by Trump late last month, which he asserts is designed to achieve the stated objective.

A resistance official stated that the adversary persists in executing acts of killing and destruction.

He called for reliable international assurances to ensure the regime’s adherence to halting its hostilities, which have resulted in the deaths of approximately 67,200 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.

The offensive commenced after a landmark operation by Gaza’s resistance forces against the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. During this operation, fighters advanced significantly into the territories, surrounding Israeli military installations and capturing numerous individuals.

Hayya announced that the Hamas delegation was present in Sharm El-Sheikh to engage in what he described as “responsible and serious” negotiations. He emphasized their complete preparedness to halt the conflict.

Less than a week ago, the movement endorsed a decision to release the remaining Israeli captives in Gaza and transfer the territory’s administration to a Palestinian authority, as outlined in Trump’s plan.

A representative from Hamas emphasized that the group’s delegates participating in the discussions were aligned with the “goals and aspirations of our people for stability, statehood, and self-determination.”

Trump issued another warning regarding the regime’s tendency to break its commitments, pointing to its history of violating a 2023 agreement as well as an understanding established earlier this year.

The comments mirrored statements from certain Israeli officials who have disclosed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intentionally delayed negotiation processes since the onset of the conflict.

The most startling revelation emerged in March when the former head of the Shin Bet intelligence agency declared Netanyahu as the primary impediment to successful negotiations between Hamas and Tel Aviv.
