Nationwide Rallies in Yemen Show Solidarity with Gaza, Condemn Alleged Genocide by ‘israel’
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis rallied nationwide in a powerful display of solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning what they describe as the Israeli regime's continued acts of genocide in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

On Friday, significant gatherings convened in the capital, Sana’a, as well as in multiple provinces such as Sa’ada, Raymah, and Ma’rib.
In an extraordinary display of solidarity, Sa’ada’s central square witnessed a massive gathering of Yemeni citizens rallying in support of Gaza. Participants vocally condemned the actions of the Israeli regime and the United States, expressing their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance efforts.
Demonstrators reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast and unwavering stance in backing the Palestinian people and their resistance efforts.
Critics have condemned the proposed US-Israeli ‘peace deal’, labeling it a compromise initiative orchestrated with the collaboration of certain Arab nations in the region to apply pressure on the Palestinian resistance.
In a recent announcement, the demonstrators underscored the importance of sustaining weekly rallies to show solidarity with the Palestinian people while expressing strong opposition to the strategies of the United States and the Israeli government in the region.
They pledged to steadfastly defend their positions in response to any new conspiracies targeting the Palestinian population.
The declaration urged Arab and Muslim countries to reject submission and remain alert to the plots of adversaries against those backing Palestine.
The statement called upon global leaders and advocates of liberty to implement substantial actions in support of Palestine.
In recent weeks, large-scale demonstrations have been taking place throughout Yemen, as citizens voice their condemnation of the actions in Gaza and reaffirm their backing for the nation’s retaliatory measures.
Since the beginning of Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Yemeni forces have conducted numerous actions in solidarity with the affected residents of Gaza. These operations have included striking multiple targets across the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as targeting Israeli ships or vessels approaching ports in the occupied regions.
On October 7, 2023, Israel commenced a significant military operation in Gaza following a surprise offensive by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. This escalation marked a continuation of long-standing hostilities, with Hamas citing the ongoing impact of Israel’s prolonged military and political actions against Palestinians as the impetus for their attack.
The regime’s violent offensive on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 66,288 Palestinians and left 169,165 others injured, the majority of whom are women and children.
