Leader of Islamic Ummah: Iran Firm on Uranium Enrichment
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has reiterated Iran's commitment to continue its uranium enrichment activities. He emphasized that the nation has no intention of developing nuclear weapons, dismissing proposals for dialogue with the existing U.S. administration.

Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the nation at the beginning of Sacred Defense Week, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Iraqi Ba’athist regime’s invasion, an event that initiated the Iranian nation’s resistance.
The address was transmitted live across various Iranian outlets, including state television and radio networks.
In the opening remarks of his televised address, the Leader stated that his speech would concentrate on the topics of national unity in Iran, uranium enrichment, and the discussions involving the United States.
He referenced the recent 12-day conflict initiated by adversaries in June, noting that the primary goal of the aggressors was to overthrow the Islamic Establishment.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that Iran’s cohesion thwarted opposition efforts to fracture the country and overthrow the Islamic system. He highlighted that the nation has maintained its unity in the months following the 12-day conflict.
The Leader highlighted the ongoing conflict over uranium enrichment, emphasizing the disagreement between Iran and Western nations on this contentious issue.
He detailed the concept of enrichment, emphasizing its effectiveness and benefits in enhancing people’s lives. He further explained that enrichment finds applications across various sectors, including agriculture, industry, nutrition, environmental conservation, natural resource preservation, and electricity generation.
Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that Iran possesses the capacity to produce highly-enriched uranium, but emphasized that the nation has no plans to pursue nuclear weapons of any kind.
In a recent statement, the Leader emphasized that airstrikes on certain Iranian nuclear locations would not disrupt the country’s uranium enrichment efforts, as the process has been developed as an indigenous science. He further asserted that Iran possesses dozens, if not hundreds, of experts proficient in enrichment technology.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that Iran has resisted external pressures and will continue to do so in the future.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that engaging in discussions with the United States government will not yield any benefits for Iran.
He stated that engaging in discussions with the United States under the current conditions would be detrimental to Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei has stated that the United States has put forth excessive demands in negotiations, such as abandoning enrichment programs and missile capabilities. He attributes these demands to a misunderstanding of the Islamic Republic.
Ayatollah Khamenei remarked that the US administration is deceitful and hypocritical, frequently resorting to intimidation and threats in pursuit of its goals.
In the closing remarks of his speech, the leader emphasized that the sole path forward for Iran amidst external threats is to continue strengthening its capabilities, relying on divine support. He asserted that a robust Iran would be impervious to enemy threats.
