Zionist Offensive in Gaza Intensifies: Casualties Rise Dramatically

In a series of ongoing airstrikes by Israeli forces, at least nine Palestinians have been killed, with numerous others sustaining injuries, as tensions continue to escalate in the region.

According to medical sources and eyewitness accounts, ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City since the early hours of Sunday have resulted in at least nine Palestinian fatalities, with several others sustaining injuries.

According to WAFA correspondents, Israeli airstrikes on a residential building owned by the Al-Haddad family in Gaza City’s Al-Daraj neighborhood, near Al-Shaabiya Junction, resulted in the deaths of four civilians and injuries to several others.

Medical sources have confirmed that the death toll from a series of airstrikes on several neighborhoods in Gaza City since midnight has climbed to nine. The figure is anticipated to rise as rescue teams remain unable to recover those still unaccounted for beneath the debris, following attacks on the residences of the Dugmosh, Al-Haddad, and Mohsen families in the Al-Sabra area.

 

Israeli military operations have persisted, with artillery shelling complementing airstrikes in the region. In recent developments, reports have emerged that an armored vehicle carrying explosives was detonated in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, situated to the north of Gaza City.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces have launched an assault on civilians gathered for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza Strip. Reports indicate ongoing gunfire in the area surrounding the Wadi Gaza Bridge.

Since the initiation of hostilities by Israel in Gaza in October 2023, local health authorities report that over 65,200 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, have lost their lives, while over 166,200 people have sustained injuries. Additionally, thousands are feared to be missing, potentially trapped beneath the debris.

Despite appeals from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and recommendations from the International Court of Justice to avert genocide and improve the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, Israel’s offensive actions persist without interruption.

Reports have emerged of a missile launched from Gaza landing near Nitsan, close to Ashdod. Additionally, eight soldiers from the Israeli forces sustained injuries in a vehicle overturn accident in the vicinity of Gaza City.
