Zionist Trump Pursues Reclamation of Bagram Base in Afghanistan

Trump stated that his administration has been making efforts to reoccupy the Bagram airbase in Afghanistan, a strategic location that U.S. forces vacated in 2021 following what he characterized as an irresponsible withdrawal from the nation.

In a joint press conference held on Thursday alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump voiced criticism regarding the management of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan under former leader Joe Biden. He also hinted at having “a little breaking news.”

Trump remarked on the vast airbase at Bagram in northeastern Afghanistan, describing it as one of the largest globally, and commented, “We gave it to them for nothing.” He further mentioned ongoing efforts to reclaim it.

He highlighted the strategic location of the airbase, noting its proximity to China, stating, “It’s just an hour’s distance from China’s nuclear weapons facilities.”

He further asserted that the Taliban government in Afghanistan requires support from the United States. “We’re aiming to reclaim it because they rely on us for certain necessities. We want that base back,” he stated.

The Taliban have firmly dismissed any possibility of a return by the United States military to Afghanistan.

An official from the Taliban Foreign Ministry, Zakir Jalal, expressed via social media that Afghanistan and the United States should pursue engagement, but emphasized the necessity of this interaction taking place without any U.S. military presence within Afghan territory.

Kabul has expressed its readiness to develop political and economic relations with Washington, emphasizing a foundation of “mutual respect and shared interests.”

Bagram, formerly the largest U.S. military base in Afghanistan, was a pivotal hub during the height of the American military operation in the region, accommodating over 100,000 troops within its confines.

Earlier this year, Trump expressed regret over the loss of the Bagram Airbase, alleging that the facility had been taken over by China.

A spokesperson for the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, has clarified that the airfield is under Afghanistan’s control and not under China’s jurisdiction.

In August 2021, the Taliban regained control over Afghanistan following the disorderly withdrawal of US-led forces.

In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the United States commenced a military intervention in Afghanistan in October 2001. Although no Afghan nationals were directly implicated in the attacks, the ensuing 20-year conflict resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Afghan citizens.
