Zionist Terror Regime Launches Intense Offensive: Artillery and Airstrikes Target Southern Lebanon from Nabatieh to Mansouri
Zionist military forces have initiated a new round of intense artillery bombardments and airstrikes across southern regions.
Israeli military forces initiated an extensive artillery barrage and a series of airstrikes over southern Lebanon on Sunday, focusing on the Zawtar River corridor, the Ali al-Taher heights, and the peripheries of several towns. This action is part of an apparent coordinated bombardment campaign, despite an existing ceasefire agreement.
Al-Manar’s correspondent on site relayed that Israeli artillery fire focused on the Zawtar River area, while concurrent attacks hit the Ali al-Taher heights. Additionally, Israeli aircraft conducted numerous airstrikes on Wadi al-Salouqi and Tell Ali al-Taher in the Nabatieh district, regions that have experienced almost daily bombardment in recent weeks.
Artillery strikes have also impacted the outskirts of Mansouri and Bayt al-Sayyad, while the Doha Kfar Rumman region experienced sporadic shelling over the course of the day.

The recent wave of hostilities escalated on Sunday as intense Israeli airstrikes targeting several locations in southern Lebanon carried over from Saturday. Key areas struck included Tell Ali al-Taher, the city of Nabatieh, and a structure near the slaughterhouse district. These air operations were further intensified by artillery fire between Haris and Haddatha, culminating in one of the most severe bombardments seen in recent weeks.
Increasing Casualties
The ongoing hostilities have inflicted a significant human toll. An updated report from Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Operations Center reveals that since the conflict erupted on March 2, a total of 4,352 lives have been lost, with 12,318 individuals injured. These numbers continue to rise amid ongoing strikes.
Persistent Breach of Ceasefire Agreements
The recent assaults are part of a continuing trend that Lebanese authorities and global observers characterize as Israel’s persistent breaches of the ceasefire agreement. Although there is a formal suspension of hostilities, the Israeli armed forces have systematically targeted southern villages and towns with artillery, airstrikes, and drone attacks nearly every day.
Local sources indicate that Israeli forces have engaged in a series of actions extending beyond direct strikes, including the systematic burning of agricultural fields, the demolition of homes and civilian infrastructure, and recurrent attacks on non-combatants. These actions have heightened concerns regarding potential violations of international humanitarian law, possibly amounting to war crimes.
Relentless attacks have laid waste to large areas of southern Lebanon’s crucial agricultural regions, leaving farmers unable to work their lands as shelling persists incessantly. Whole villages lie in ruins, and the assault on infrastructure has severely disrupted vital services in the affected localities.
